Nancy Bell Haynes Caesar May 20 2018 September 16 2018

Nancy Bell Caesar, age 67 died peacefully at her home in rural St. Johns on Sunday, September 16, 2018, after losing a courageous battle with cancer. Nancy was born in St. Johns, MI on May 20, 1951, the daughter of Lloyd and Edna (Pease) Haynes. She attended St. Johns School. On June 24, 1967, she married the love of her life Calvin Caesar at the United Methodist Church of St. Johns. A nature lover, Nancy was an avid bird watcher. She enjoyed sharing her nature finds with her grandchildren. Nancy fully believed there was always room for one more at the dinner table. She loved throwing large gatherings with family and friends for the holidays or a summer BBQ. Nancy is survived by her husband of 51 years, Calvin, her 2 daughters: Rebecca Caesar of St. Johns; Angela (Wade) Drury of Perrinton; and her son David (Leah) Caesar of Ashley, her beloved grandchildren: Brianna, Jordan, Nathan, Alana and Andrina, and her faithful dog Lily. She is also survived by her brother Denny Reeves of Carson City and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Gale VanBurger and other beloved family members. Per her wishes, there will be no funeral services. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 1 P.M. at her home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hope Bible Baptist Church of Maple Rapids, MI. Online condolences can be made at www.smithfamilyfuneralhomes.com.
