Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Melvin Ralph Magnes, age 82, of Jefferson, who passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2018. Mr. Magnes was born in Tucker, Georgia, and was a retired Bookkeeper for the City of Lawrenceville. Mr. Magnes was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Hampton Magnes and his brothers, Barney Magnes, Sam Magnes and Ray Magnes. Survivors include his daughter, Kay Yarbrough of Jefferson, sister in laws, Joan Hampton of Jefferson and Sue (Bob) Mittenzwei of The Villages, FL; several nieces and nephews also survive.
