OBITUARY Mary Beth de Sousa March 24, 1958 – August 31, 2018 Mary Beth (Mc Caleb) de Sousa, age 60, passed away August 31, 2018 at Massachusetts General Hospital. She was the wife of Luis de Sousa. Born in Pensacola, Florida she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Jeannine (Lalonde) Mc Caleb. Mary Beth was a homemaker who cared for her late son, three other children and her husband. She graduated from St Mary Seminary in Nashua, NH and attended Tulane University. Survivors include three children: Emily, Thomas and Lucia de Sousa all of New Bedford, a half brother; Ian Mc Caleb of Virginia, a half sister; Ceit Zweil of Framingham, brother in law; John de Sousa of New Bedford, sister in laws; Tina de Sousa of Acushnet, Dolores Sullo and her husband Anthony of Peabody, M. Goretti Fitzgibbons and her husband Joseph of Chelmsford, several nieces and nephews and two great nephews. She was the sister of the late Philip Mc Caleb and the mother of the late Philip de Sousa. Her visitation will be held Wednesday, from 4-8pm with a service at 7:30pm, September 5, 2018 at the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford. Burial will be private.
