Obituary for Marie D. Williamson Marie D. Williamson of Salem, Missouri passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the Salem Memorial District Hospital at the age of 94 years. She was born in Dent County on June 8, 1924 to Walter and Maude (Eudy) Prugh. Marie was united in marriage to Richard Williamson of Bunker Missouri on December 25, 1942. Marie was belonged to the Delta Kappa Gamma, an honor society for teachers. She was a member of the Salem Rebecca Lodge. She was elected to the Dent County Teacher’s Hall of Fame and was an active member of the Salem Church of Christ. Marie is survived by her sister-in-law, Patsy Kettinger Prugh; brother-in-law, Howard “Tiny” Williamson and wife Coleen; nieces and nephews, Jim Anders and wife Ann, Janet Fossey and husband Bob, Mary Garrett and husband Douglas, Peggy McCouch and husband Nelson, Jennifer Mertens and husband Mike, Bradford Prugh, Lisa Watson and husband Randy, Douglas Williamson and wife Sheila, Mike Williamson, Richard Willamson and wife Kathleen, Ruuell Williamson; several great-nieces and nephews; and a host of church family and many friends. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband Richard; sister, Ruth Anders; brother, Vincent Prugh. Funeral services for Marie Williamson will be held 1:00PM Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at the Salem Church of Christ.with Minister Rick Pitchford and Randy Grauf officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to services from 11:00AM until services at 1:00PM. Interment will be held in the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Shannon County. Serving as pallbearers will be Tom Fleener, Rick Prugh, David McDonald, Bill Hasten, Wade Jadwin and Conrad Prugh. Honorary pallbearers will be Dallas Hollenbeck, Eric Mansfield, Dean Jones, Matt Fleener, Truman Smith, Stewart Johnson, Clifton McDonald and Vertis Nash. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made by filling a back pack with school supplies in memory of Marie and/ or making a cash donation to the Love Pack/ Back Pack Program.
