Obituary for Margaret “Short” Lorsbach Dateline: Hamburg Margaret “Short” Lorsbach, 78, passed away Thursday August 30, 2018 at Calhoun Nursing & Rehab. She was born on November 9, 1939 in Gilead, IL the daughter of Charles W. & Ada Lois (Mager) Squier Sr. Short married Charles W. Lorsbach on June 22, 1957 at St. Norbert’s Catholic Church in Hardin. He survives. She was a member of St. Norbert’s Catholic Church where she served on the Altar Society, Short was a loving wife, mom, grandma and great-grandma. Surviving is her husband, Charles “Chuck” Lorsbach of Hardin, a son and daughter-in-law, Charles W. & Melissa Lorsbach of Hardin, a daughter and son-in-law, LuAnn (Roger) Baalman of Hardin; six grandchildren, C.W. Lorsbach, Lauren Droege, B.J. Nance, Ashley Wilson, Tucker Baalman, and Maggie Vinson; eleven great grandchildren and expecting one great grandchild. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 Monday September 3, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fieldon with Fr. Martin Smith celebrant. Memorials may be made to the Calhoun Nursing & Rehab Activity Fund. Gress, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Hardin is in charge of arrangements.
