Obituary for Mrs. Marcia Winkler Turner A funeral service for Mrs. Marcia Winkler Turner, 67, of Anniston, will be on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Broom officiating. The family will receive friends on the same day from noon until service time. A burial will follow the service at Anniston Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Turner passed away on September 26, 2018, after an 11 year fight with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Pacie Eugene Turner Jr.; daughters, Dana Gardner (Chad) and Lori McFall (Matthew); daughter in law, Brittney Turner; father, Gerald Winkler; grandchildren, Tanner Gardner (Mackenzie Hill), Braxton McFall, Callie McFall, Colton Turner, Tyde Turner; siblings, Gary Winkler, Kim Vaughn, and Jeff Winkler; brother and sisters in law, Cathy Turner, Sherry Fain, James Turner, and a host of extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Winkler and a son, Justin Turner. Pallbearers will be Chad Gardner, Tanner Gardner, Matthew McFall, Braxton McFall, Brandon Dover, Brian Dover, Jeff Winkler, and James Turner. Mrs. Turner was a 1969 graduate of Saks High School. She retired from BellSouth, now known as AT&T, after 41 years of service as an electronics technician where she made friends that she loved dearly. She was also a long time member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Mrs. Turner was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Mrs. Turner was very family oriented. She adored her grandchildren and made it to just about any and every event they were participating in. She enjoyed watching baseball, being at the beach, and anything Alabama Football. She loved traveling and was on the go whenever she could. Even though she battled cancer, you could not tell, as she was always in good spirits and stayed strong up until the very end. Mrs. Turner was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She is loved and will be missed dearly by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in Mrs. Turner’s name.
