Obituary for Lola Miller (Johnson) Lola M. Miller, 86 passed away September 18, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in Abilene. She was born March 30, 1932 in Council Grove, Kansas, the daughter of O.D. and Gladys (Solomon) Johnson. On October 17, 1960 she was united in marriage to Bruce Miller in Enid, Oklahoma. Lola and Bruce owned and operated Midway Café in Detroit for 27 years. Lola is survived by her loving husband Bruce. Three daughters: Carolyn Howard of Junction City, Kansas; Lisa Forrester of Detroit, Kansas and Brenda Calderon of Fort Worth, Texas. Four sons: Danny Dalton of Washington; John Dobkins (Kathy) of Abilene; R. Bruce Miller (Michelle) of Brookville, Kansas and Brian Miller of Fort Worth, Texas. Three sisters: Pat Shahan (Scott) of Herington, Kansas; Alma Baldwin of Kansas City; Karen Milham of Arizona, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Rylee Miller; son, Kelvin Geering, son-in-law Ralph Calderon; Four brothers; Three sisters. The family has chosen cremation. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home with Pastor Lindsey Brummer officiating. The family suggests memorials be given to the Rylee Miller Memorial Fund. Memorials may be dropped off or mailed to Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home, 414 NW Third St., Abilene Kansas 67410.
