OBITUARY Lois Pauline Schaeffer August 14, 1925 – August 31, 2018 Lois Pauline Schaeffer, age 93, of Fremont, Indiana, passed away on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Northern Lakes Nursing Center, Angola, Indiana. Lois was born on August 14, 1925 in Hillsdale County, Indiana, to Arlo and Ida (Brandeberry) Marsh. She grew up in the Jonesville, Michigan area, and later moved to Kinderhook Township. Lois married Carl Peter Schaeffer, Jr. on June 5, 1949, at Stokes Chapel United Methodist Church. She did house cleaning, cleaning at the Fremont Post Office, Fremont Town Offices, and helped her husband Carl occasionally at the Fremont High School, and also had a newspaper route. Lois enjoyed attending church, going to garage sales, dogs, and hugs. Survivors include her husband, Carl Schaeffer of Fremont, Indiana, a daughter, Lois Jean (Kenny) Caldwell of Angola, Indiana, sons, Connie Carl Schaeffer of Thailand, and Donnie Wayne Schaeffer of Fremont, Indiana, and a grandson, Jason Hall of Angola, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Ronnie Schaeffer, sisters, Bee, and Doris, and Leta, and brothers, Quintin, and Gary. Visitation will be held from 4 pm until 7 pm Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Beams Funeral Home. Rev. Phred Cain will officiate the service. Burial will be at Fremont Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana.
