Obituary for Lois June Harris Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018. Age 92 years. The daughter of the late Clayton and Lola (McIntyre) Austin, Lois was born on July 18, 1926 in Fairgrove, Michigan. She married John D. Harris on April 15, 1955. He survives her. Lois was a secretary for the Bridgeport Public Schools retiring in 1985. She enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, reading, shopping with her secretary friends and collecting Hummel figurines. Surviving besides her husband John are one daughter, Lynn Ann Harris, Alabama; two grandchildren, Kelly Robinson and Cricket Kramer; a great-grandson, Tyler; her sister, Caroline Grace; her brother, Jack Austin; sister-in-law, Nancy Austin; longtime friends, Dick and Nancy Easlick and Irene Stuart. Lois was preceded in death by her brothers, Billy Austin and Bud Austin. A private funeral service took place Monday, September 10, 2018 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Pastor Ron Sinclair officiated with interment in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
