Lillian Albert 1926 2018

Obituary of Lillian Albert Lillian M. Nicholson Albert, 92, of Highspire, died on Monday, September 24, 2018 in Colonial Park Care Center, Lower Paxton Twp. She was a retired Salesperson for W.B. Schleisner Clothing Store, Harrisburg and a former employee of the Dauphin Co. Housing Authority. She attended Highspire Church of God and thoroughly enjoyed playing bingo, word searches and spending time with family and friends. She was an avid sports fan of Steel-High football and basketball, Duke University basketball, tennis, golf, and Tiger Woods. Lillian was the daughter of the late Charles and Sylvia Cover Nicholson and the widow of John Albert. She is survived by one daughter, Sherry A. Benko and her companion, William Hoyer of Highspire; one sister, Florence Brounty of Oak Harbor, WA; one brother, Clarence Nicholson of Hummelstown; four grandchildren, Jennifer Segina and husband, Michael of Steelton, Adriane Holmes and husband, Justin of Glenside, Mandi Fisher and husband, Christopher of Westminster, MD, and Tyler Albert of Oberlin; three great grandchildren, Charlotte, Nathan and William Holmes; and a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Albert of Oberlin. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Charles R. “Chuck” Albert, son-in-law, Gregory Benko, five sisters and four brothers. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 11:00 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 357 S. Second St., Steelton with Rev. Dennis Brubacher officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grane Hospice, 1200 Camp Hill Bypass, Suite 205, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
