OBITUARY Leroy Elmer Redmond February 26, 1932 – September 27, 2018 Leroy Elmer Redmond, 86, of Ft. Myers, FL (formerly of Southgate, KY) passed away on Thursday, September 27th, 2018. Married to the love of his life, Marrie (nee Scott) Redmond for 56 years, who preceded him in death in August 2007. Lee served as a Navy Seabee during the Korean War, with an honorable discharge in 1959. He then went on to have a career as VP of Operations with Newport Steel before retiring to Ft. Myers with his wife. He loved tennis, fishing, movies, yard work, Costco and spending time with his family and large circle of friends. Lee is survived by his 4 children, David (Ann), Sue Stanton, Mike (Susan), Dip (Christina) and his 13 grandchildren. A service will be held Monday, October 1st at 11:30 AM at St John XXIII Catholic Church at 13060 Palomino Lane, Ft. Myers, FL 33912 with a gathering to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hope Healthcare Services at 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908.
