OBITUARY Lemuel G Ailshie July 4, 1930 – September 20, 2018 Lemuel “Sam” Ailshie, age 88, of Bartonville, passed away Thursday, Sep. 20, 2018 at 8:45 p.m. at the OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born July 4, 1930 in Hurley, MO to Edd and Maggie (Maples) Ailshie. He married Kathleen Clouse on Nov. 20, 1954 in Pekin. She survives along with one daughter, Angela (Tracy) Fornoff of Pekin, three grandchildren: Ona (David) Sidlinger of East Peoria, Jerry (Katy) Ailshie of Washington, Austin (Christina) Ailshie of Peoria, and three great-grandchildren: Elle, Sebastien, and Charlie. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Deborah Sue Ailshie, one son, Gerald Everett Ailshie, one brother, Jessie Ailshie, and one sister, Peggy Sue Ailshie. Sam was a United States Navy veteran. He worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for 30 years retiring in 1981. He was a member of the Bartonville American Legion Post 979. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Sep. 26, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery with military honors.
