Obituary for King Him Mak King Him Mak, 72, of Gaffney, SC, died Friday, September 21, 2018 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born September 27, 1945 in Taishan Guangdong, China, he was the son of the late Shi Nuan and Wai Sim Wong Mak. King was the co-founder and owner of The Royal Pavilion in Gaffney, SC from 1983 to 2001. He became a naturalized U.S. Citizen in 2009. Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Hinlan Helen Chee Mak; his son, John Chun Sheng Mak (Wai Han Fu) of Boiling Springs, SC; his daughter, Marie Mei-Ling Warkoczewski (Joseph, Jr.) of Duncan, SC; his grandson, Jason Ho Yin Mak; and his siblings, Tom, Bill, Alan, Peter, and Nancy. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
