Kevin Ray Smith 2018

Kevin Ray Smith, age 41, passed on Saturday, September 22nd, 2018 in Midland, VA. He was born on April 2nd, 1977 in Wise, Virginia, son of Nina Mullins Stuckey and the late, Raymond R. Smith. Kevin was a loving son, father, brother, husband, uncle, and friend. He brought joy, laughter, and countless pranks to our lives. He was always someone we could count on when anything needed fixed, and was fondly known by his daughter as “the fixer”. His intelligence, wit, and strength were one of a kind. Kevin fought a lifelong battle with illness, longer and stronger than anyone could have imagined. We are in awe of the endless strength and courage that he put forth every day of his life. He was a passionate car enthusiast who was highly knowledgeable in anything car-related, and loved the camaraderie that he shared with his fellow Mopar and car club family members. We are all blessed with the time we were given to have Kevin in our lives, and we find comfort knowing that he is finally no longer struggling with his illness. We look forward to the day that we have him by our side again. Kevin is survived by his wife, Kristen R. Smith of Oakdale, PA; two daughters, Montanna A. Smith of Luray, VA & Kalysta R. Smith of Oakdale, PA; mother, Nina Stuckey of Midland, VA; two sisters, Cyndi Butler & her husband, Clint of Bealeton, VA and Savannah Marsee & her significant other, Bryon of Fredericksburg, VA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. In addition to his father, Raymond R. Smith, Kevin is preceded in death by his brother, Larry T. B. Coffman. Service & interment private. Contributions to help with funeral expenses may be made at www.GoFundMe.com/Kevin-Smith-Funeral-assistance.
