Obituary for Karla Kaplin (White) Karla S. Kaplan, age 56, a lifelong resident of Janesville, passed away Saturday afternoon, September 15, 2018 at Agrace Center for Hospice & Palliative Care, Janesville, surrounded by her family. She was born April 3, 1962 in Janesville, the daughter of Karl D. and Patricia L. (Wilson) White. On August 1, 1981 she married Steven J. Kaplan at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. She was a lifelong member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Karla loved life and all it had to offer! She and her friends enjoyed regularly playing BINGO at St. Pat’s and loved gardening and tending to her flowers. Her greatest joy was her family, and especially spending time with her grandchildren! She is survived by her husband, Steven; her 2 children, Michael White, and Kaylee Kaplan; her 4 beloved grandchildren, Colton White, Case Knoll, Taytem White, and Aubrey Dominguez; her Mom, Patricia L. White; her 5 siblings, Kelly White, Kathy Benson, Kurt White, Krissy Hamilton, and Ken White; nieces, nephews, and many friends. Karla was preceded in death by her daughter, Cassandra Kaplan, and her Dad, Karl D. White. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the WHITCOMB-LYNCH FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, with Fr. Timothy Renz officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. on Saturday at the FUNERAL HOME. There will also be a Celebration of Life for Karla to be held from 12:00 until 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at BOGEY’S, 1700 N. Washington St., Janesville. Karla was a bright light that was snubbed out too early. The world is a better place from her shining light of positivity, and she will be greatly missed!
