Judith Ann Hurley 2018

Judith Ann Hurley passed away on September 2, 2018, surrounded by family, at the age of 75. Judi was born on July 4, 1943 in Concordia, Kansas, to Henry Herbert Poulsen and Martha Jean Paddock. She was raised on her family’s farm with her brother and sister. She graduated from Concordia High School. Having moved to California for work, she met her future husband, George William Hurley in Orange County. After their marriage at Knott’s Berry Farm, they moved to Northern California where they started their family. During the years with the children in California, Judi worked as a paralegal secretary. In 1990, she and her family relocated to Maryland. Throughout her adult life she lived in Italy, Virginia, Oregon, California, and Montana, spending much time in each location with members of her family. In 2016, Judi relocated back to the east coast dividing time with each of her son’s and their families. Judi enjoyed spending time with her Grandchildren and watching Jeopardy with her family. She loved music, crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. She enjoyed talking about current events and studying new things. She is survived by her sons, Gavin and Geoff Hurley, their wives Kristyn and Kristine, and five grandchildren: Garrett, Sarah, Vincent, Evelyn and Gavin; her Brother Norris and Sister Pat and their children Kevin and Jeffrey including numerous family, friends and loved ones. A service will be held on _November 10,2018 at Greenwich Presbyterian Church in Gainesville. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations are provided to the Adler Center for Caring (Aldie, VA) in her memory.
