OBITUARY John Wayne Stewart Passed away on September 15, 2018 John Wayne Stewart, of Liberty, Missouri passed away on Saturday September 15, 2018. John was born in Liberty, Missouri on March 9, 1949 to parents John and Lavina Stewart. John attended Liberty High School and was a member of the 1967 graduating class. In 1967, after graduation, John married his high school sweetheart, Alice. They spent 51 years together. After high school, John went to work for the Burlington Northern Railroad. He spent 26 years with the railroad before retiring in 1993. In his retirement, John could often be found golfing, bowling, and watching his family at sporting events. John is preceded in death by his father; and two sisters, Linda Sanders and Louise Simpson. He is survived by his wife; three sons, David, Eric, and Shawn; one daughter, Sara; his mother; four sisters, Geneive, Joyce, Elaine, and Dorothy; and seven grandchildren. A time of gathering will be held in John’s honor from 6-8pm on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Church-Archer-Pasley Funeral Home, 119 East Franklin Street, Liberty, Missouri 64068.
