Obituary of Joan Russo Joan “Tina” Russo—87 of Jamestown passed away September 12, 2018 at UPMC Hamot. Tina was born June 24, 1931 in Jamestown to Joseph and Lena Trippi. She is a graduate of JHS class of 1949. Joan married Joseph Russo November 10, 1956. Tina worked for National worsted Mills and Trippi’s Flower Shop. Tina was very active in the commuity. She was a life long member of the DAV, VFW Auxilary, Falconer Legion, Altar Rosary Society,Holy Apostles at St. John, a member of the Gold Star Wives of America, involved with the St. John Italian festival, and a co-founder of the St. John Lenten fish fry. Tina is survived by several nieces , nephews,great and great great nieces and nephews. Joan is preceded in death by her Husband Joseph Russo, parents Joseph and Lena Trippi, brothers James Trippi, Samuel Trippi, and Anthony Trippi, sisters Grace LaPlaca, Sylvia Triscari, and Rose Restivo. There will be no calling hours cremation will be private. Mass will be Wednesday September 26, 2018 10am at St. John RCC. Burial of cremains to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
