Jean Faulkner 2018

Myriam “Jean” Faulkner of Vienna, WV, passed on September 17, 2018, at Camden Clark Medical Center surrounded by her lifelong friends. She was born on August 27, 1944 in West Union, West Virginia, a daughter to the late Timothy James Faulkner and Myriam L. Hutson Faulkner. After completing her Bachelors and Masters Degrees, Jean joined the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources where she worked for 42 years. While at the WVDHHR she was a CPS supervisor for many years and then an Adoption Specialist. Jean had an amazing work ethic and was respected by many. Jean was a long-time member of the Vienna Baptist Church. She was also a loyal supporter of Alderson Broaddus University where she served on the Alumni Council for several years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother; William Faulkner. She is survived by her niece, Arleen Elberg, and nephews, Glen Faulkner and William Faulkner, all of California. Jean was loved by her extended family of cousins and her many close friends. We will all miss this special woman who graced our lives with caring and friendship. The family and friends would like to extend thanks to Dr. Orton Armstong and the CCMC staff of the Serenity and Advance Care Units for their kindness and care shown to Jean. A memorial service will be held at the Vienna Baptist Church, Saturday, September 29, 11:00 am, with Pastor Dennis Pratt officiating.
