Jean Leonard Funk 2018

Jean M. Funk, 85, of Jersey Shore, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018, at the Manor Care North Health Center in Williamsport. Born April 11, 1933 in Blossburg, she was the daughter of Richard and Anna Leonard. She was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald H. Welch and Robert T. Welch. For many years she and her husband were the owners of Billie-Jean’s Flower Shop and the Penna. Waffle House in Jersey Shore. She is survived by her husband William O. Funk; they were united in marriage in 1970. Also surviving is a daughter, Carolyn J. Barner of Linden; three sons, Michael A. Welch of Williamsport, Larry E. Welch of Jersey Shore and K. David Welch of Lock Haven; four sisters, Helen Reed of Canton, Margie (Bill) Taynton of Moosic, Marie Kriner and Shirley Mileto of Williamsport; 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and six step children. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, 2018 at Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. Monday morning until the time of service at Welker Funeral Home. The Rev. Dean Olson will officiate. She will be laid to rest in the Salladasburg Cemetery.
