Obituary for Jason Elkins Elkins, Jason D. Kentwood Jason Daniel Elkins passed away unexpectedly September 13, 2018. Jason was born January 12, 1973 in Fort Sill, Oklahoma; the son of Dan and Diane (Howland) Elkins. Jason was proud to work with his father in the lumber industry for many years. Jason is survived by his father and step mother: Dan (Norma) Elkins, his daughters: Sierra Nicole Ward, Marias Hensley, Jessica Pratt, Emily Pratt, and Erica Lachowski, brothers: Matt (Dolly) Elkins, Michael (Jaime) Adams, and Josh Byer, sisters: Jennifer Byer, Melissa Poole, Danielle (Kevin) Hanosh, and Elisha Burns, three grandchildren: Laklyn, Benson and Ellie, and several nieces and nephews. Jason was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents. Jason’s family will receive friends, Monday, 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Pentecostal Church of Christ, 6097 Marsh Road, Shelbyville, where his funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, September 18, 2018, 11:00 AM, Pastor Mike Risner, officiating. Private burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery. Those who wish to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the needs of the family.
