Janet L King Applebee 1932 2018

Obituary for Janet King (Applebee) Janet L. Applebee King, 86, of Harborcreek, passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 18, 2018 at Twinbrook Health Care. She was born in Union City on June 10, 1932 a daughter of the late Arlo and Alma Curtis Applebee. Janet worked as a cook for many years at many local restaurants including Nunzi’s and Priscilla Charcoal Pit. She was a former, longtime, member of Phillipsville United Methodist Church and a member of Park United Methodist Church in North East. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald and Roger Applebee; one sister, Betty Jean Teed; her daughter in law, Bonnie King; and her son in law William “Bud” Lewis. Survivors include her husband, Richard C. King; four sons, Douglas King (Helen) of North East, Dale King of Westfield, NY, Dusty King of North East, and David King (Sharon) of Harborcreek; four daughters, Deanna Lewis of Edgewater, FL, Donna Barber (Steven) of S. Ripley, NY, Dixie Myers (Jon) of Westfield, NY, and Darla Harris (Jerry) of North East; one brother, Robert Applebee (Shirley) of Venango Twp.; sister-in-law, Rhoda Applebee of Vanderbilt, PA; 22 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to services there on Wednesday at 10 a.m..
