Obituary for James Higginbotham Mike went to be with the Lord on August 31, 2018. He was born August 19, 1952 in Morris County to the late James and Audrey (Harrison) Higginbotham. Mike was a retired county worker for Franklin County Precinct 4. Growing up Mike enjoyed riding horses and competing in rodeos with his family. Mike also had a love for fishing, especially with his fishing buddies and his son. Mike, being a strong man of faith, loved teaching children’s Sunday School and fellowshipping with church family at Pineview Baptist where he was a member. Even through his battle with cancer Mike was a witness for his savior from the hospital bed. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Johnnie Gail (Harris) Higginbotham; son, John Michael Higginbotham and his wife, Brenna; two granddaughters, Anagail and Bryony; sister, Gail Crocker and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Elaine Crocker. Visitation will be held from 1pm -2pm, September 2, 2018 at Pineview Baptist Church in Winnsboro, Texas. Funeral Service will be follow at 2pm with Bro. Ronny Spence conducting. Interment will be at Smyrna Cemetery in Winnsboro, Texas. Active pallbearers are DeWayne Gilbreath, Rick Gunn, Alan Moss, Mark Presley, Ronny Terrell and George Thomas.
