From the La Grande High School: We would like to take a moment to remember the life of a wonderful young man, Izah Gonzalez AKA Gonzo to a lot of people. He was a great friend to many and very close and like a brother to some. Gonzo was a smart, caring, kind compassionate and loving person and an amazing athlete. Gonzo was known for wanting to be one of the first kids to school so he could go out and play with his friends on the basketball court. Those of you who knew Izah knows what a great player and teammate he was. Gonzo never talked down to anyone during the game, he would let his game do the talking. He was also the kind of person that would be the one that would help his teammates up if they were down in all aspects, sports or life. We all loved to watch him play and grow in sports each year. Gonzo was the type of kid that would get hurt but still want to go back to the game. He always made goals for himself each game and played with all his heart. Whether it was football and getting much tackle in a game or basketball wanting to hit 40 points or more in a game. Gonzo was a great kid and he will be missed by so many. He will always be in our hearts. Our condolences go out to his family, friends, classmates, and teammates. Rest easy Izah. Lets please take a moment of silence in remembrance of Izah Gonzalez… favorite_border Appeal For Donations
