Obituary for Irene Cox (Miner) Irene N. (Miner) Cox, 91 of Pawcatuck, CT, passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 1 , 2018. Irene was born in Westerly, RI. She was the wife of the late Jome P. (John) Cox and the daughter of the late Elias Miner and Emma G. Miner. She was extremely proud of her early “Langworthy-Miner” heritage; settlers of Stonington, CT and Hope Valley, Richmond, RI. She attended the Baptist Church in N. Stonington, CT and was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a Masonic affiliate. She leaves her three children, John P. Cox of Midland, TX, Joyce E. Panciera (Richard) of Westerly and Bruce G. Cox (Judy) of Somers, CT; six grandchildren, Jeffery (Erin) of Westerly, Gary of Pawcatuck, Jamie (Laura) Caster of Newport, Julie (Jay) Rester of Starkville, MS, James (Kim) Cox of Ft. Worth, TX and Christopher (Rachel) Cox of Portland, OR; and seven great grandchildren! Funeral Service will be privately held. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
