Obituary for Imogene Lou Platt Imogene Lou Platt, 92, a life-long resident of Lafayette passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Rosewalk Village. Born June 20, 1926 in Lafayette, IN to the late Edward Dienhart and Martha (Scott) Dienhart. Imogene graduated from Lafayette Beauty Academy and worked mostly from her home as a Beautician. She married Forrest E. Platt on May 3, 1947. He preceded her in death on April 3, 2013. Imogene was a member of St. Boniface Church. She enjoyed roller skating at the roller rink in Monticello in the 60s. Imogene also loved to travel and spend time with her family. Surviving is her son Dale Allen Platt (companion: Cheryl Farrar) of West Lafayette and one sister Patricia A. Dienhart of Lafayette, IN. Grandchildren; Steven Platt and James Platt. Great grandchildren; Emily Platt, Ethan Platt, Wyatt Hale and Kaylie Spikes. Along with her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents and one brother. A family gathering will be at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Hippensteel Funeral Home. A precession will follow to St. Boniface Church for a mass beginning at 10:00 a.m with Father Mark Walter officiating..
