OBITUARY Helen N. Moxley April 25, 1927 – September 21, 2018 Helen N. Moxley, 91, of Oneonta, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018 at AO Fox Nursing Home in Oneonta. She was born on April 25, 1927 in Norwich, the daughter of Benjamin and Eva (Shampagne) Faulkner. She married Ira W. Moxley on March 31, 1946. He predeceased her on January 23, 1991. Helen worked for many years in food service at SUNY Oneonta. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Oneonta. She was also Past President of the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 259, in Oneonta. She enjoyed sewing, word puzzles, and quilting, as well as caring for her many cats. She is survived by 3 children, John (Nan) Moxley of Oneonta; William (Joyce) Moxley of Apex, NC; and Diane (Michael) Weigel of Milford; 9 grandchildren, Kelly Hobbs, Rachel Madsen, Sandra, David, Kimberly, and Benjamin Moxley, and Catherine, Michelle, and Sarah Weigel; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and one cousin. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 1 pm at the Lester R Grummons Funeral Home, 14 Grand Street, Oneonta, with Grant Moxley officiating. Burial will follow in Oneonta Plains Cemetery. The family would like to extend their appreciation and thanks to the staff of Catskill Area Hospice and the AO Fox Nursing Home for their care during this difficult time.
