Obituary for Gregory Gates Gregory Alan Gates age 57 of Linden, AL died September 18, 2018 at his home. He was born June 8, 1961 in Thomasville, AL to Wallace Grady “W. G.” and Inez Gates. He was the grocery manager at Papa’s Foods for 13 years and a member of Thomaston Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He is survived by his wife, Mitzi Forrester Gates of Linden, AL; his parents, Wallace Grady “W. G.” and Inez Lynn Gates of Nanafalia, AL; brother, Gary (Shelia) Gates of Vineland, AL; sister, Ursurla (Michael) Evans of Nanafalia, AL; brother, Todd (Lisa) Gates of Gallion, AL; and brother, Mike (Sandy) Gates of Lake City, FL; nieces and nephews, Stacey Abunaemeh, Tiffany (Lee) Stephens, Alicia (Tim) Smotherman, Michael (Melissa) Gates, Kevin Gates, Kerri Gates, and Kelli Gates. Visitation will be held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at Thomaston Baptist Church on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 9:00 AM with Rev. David Traywick officiating. Burial will follow at Thomaston Cemetery in Thomaston, AL.
