Obituary for Gloria Jean Taylor Gloria Jean Taylor, age 69, of Manassas, Virginia passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018, at Bridge Point Hospital in Washington, D.C. She was born June 11, 1949, in Norfolk, Virginia, daughter of the late Briggs Dasher and Jacqueline Grimsley Dasher. Gloria was a retired chef of 50 years. Not only did she enjoy cooking as her profession, but she also enjoyed cooking at home for her family even more. She was a beautiful person that loved everyone and was taken far too soon. She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Sue Dasher; life companion, James Earl Taylor Sr.; sister, Macrissa A. Dungan; brothers, Lonnie Craig Dasher and Ronald Lynn Barton. Gloria is survived by her son, Kenneth D. Taylor Jr. and life companion Betty Campbell of Remington, Virginia; daughters, Lillian A. Taylor, and Tina M. Taylor of Manassas, Virginia; grandchildren, Kristopher V. Griffith and husband Bobby Griffith; Kenneth Campbell, Taylor Ann Marie Brown, Aubrey Campbell, and Martina Lewis; one great-grandchild, Audrielle Jean “AJ” Collington; one godchild, Jennifer McNabb; siblings, Lillian H. Smith of Manassas, Virginia, Henrietta Cantrell of Wise, Virginia, Randolph B. Dasher and wife Debra Dasher of Manassas, Virginia, Johnny Dasher of Manassas, Virginia, and Pamela Devers and husband Richard Devers of Centreville, Virginia; sister-in-law, Rena Fay Willis and husband Donald Willis of Manassas, Virginia; daughter-in-law, Carmen Griffith of Virginia Beach, Virginia; as well as her lifelong best friend Marge McNabb of Manassas, Virginia and a host of many step grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Pierce Funeral Home located at 9609 Center St. Manassas, Virginia 20110, Friday, September 28, 2018. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and services will be held from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. with Reverend Keith Savage officiating.
