Gladys J. “Tinky” Dalby, 85, died Monday, September 3, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Harold L. Dalby and daughter of the late George D. and Gladys M. (O’Hern) Adams. Gladys was employed as a hairdresser for 15 years and was the owner of Tink A Bell Hair Salon. She later became a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked at the Oakhill Nursing Home in Pawtucket for 20 years. “Tinky” was the life of the party at family gatherings. She was the beloved mother of Keith M. Haupt, Kevin A. Haupt, Lisa A. Haupt, the late Kenneth D. Haupt and Deborah L. Belanger; grandmother of Wayne Letourneau, Kelli Reedy, Missiann Letourneau, Meghan Haupt, Kimberly Haupt, Tristan Hall, Andrew Belford, and Keith Haupt, Jr. She also leaves her beloved great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Conrad J. Girouard, Ronald J. Girouard, Regina G. Downing, Robert R. Girouard, Richard M. Girouard, the late George D. Adams and Daniel Caron. She also leaves many nieces and nephews whom she had a very special relationship with and her very close friend Bill McLaughlin who has been by her side for many years. A visitation will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 9-10:30 AM in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane, Warwick. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to VNA of Care N.E. Hospice, 51 Health Lane, Warwick, RI 02886, will be appreciated.
