George Edward Childers Sr August 18 2018 September 1 2018

George Edward Childers, Sr., 76, husband of Betty Murray Childers, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 1, 2018. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the St. George Pentecostal Holiness Church with Brother Howard Proveaux, Brother George Talmadge and Brother Robert Smoak officiating. Burial will be 5:00 PM in the Rehobeth Cemetery, Manning. Pallbearers will be Carl Childers, Shawn Murray, Todd Ackerman, Lewis Judy, Travis Childers and John Murray. Visitation will be an hour before the service at the church. George was born August 18, 1942 in Manning, a son of the late George William and Maude Alice Cutter Childers. He was a retired equipment operator with Jordan Construction and a member of St. George Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was predeceased by a daughter, Kimberly Childers, sons, Randy Childers and Tony Glen Childers, Sr. and siblings, Jeanette C. Smoak, James William Childers, Louis Thomas Childers and John Alvin Childers Surviving is his wife, Betty Childers; sons, Eddie (Wanda) Childers, Stanley (Rachel) Cutter, and Chris (Stephanie) Cutter; daughters, Sharon (Gerald) Infinger, Sheryl (Jonathan) Judy and Andrea Weeks; 27 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles (Jackie) Childers; sisters, St. George, Dorothy C. (Johnny) Murray, Betty C. Murray, both of Harleyville and Doris C. Robinson, Santee.
