Gary Don Jenkins, age 71 of Danville, VA passed away Friday, august 31, 2018 at his residence. He was born June 14, 1947 in Leaksville, NC to the late Dennis Louis Jenkins and the late Louise Barnes Jenkins. Gary was married to Glenda Jenkins who survives of the residence. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Airforce. Jenkins and wife Emily of Mechansville, VA and Michael Smith and husband Tra Snellings of Greensboro, NC; two brothers Marvin Jenkins of Martinsville, VA and Dr. Jerry Jenkins of Midlothian, VA and thirteen grandchildren, Jordan Hall (Tyler), Caroline Smith, Hunter Guill, Kelsey Guill, Jack Bryant, Helen Bryant, Myah Kendrick, Taylor Jenkins, Riley Jenkins, Jackson Jenkins, Caleb Jenkins, Nicholas Jenkins and Lecie Jenkins. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a daughter, Kristina J. Kendrick and a brother Roy Jenkins. A memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Norris Funeral Services, Inc., West End Chapel, 511 Church Ave., Danville, VA 24541with Rev. Daryl Joyce officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 4, 2018 prior to the service at Norris West End Chapel and other times at the residence.
