OBITUARY Frank “Babe” DellaVolpe April 30, 1930 – September 15, 2018 Frank ”Babe” Della Volpe Longtime Belleville Business Owner and Landlord Frank “Babe” Della Volpe, 88, of Upper Montclair, passed away September 15, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his family. Born in Newark, Frank was known as “Babe” to his many friends. He was the Owner and Partner of Franklin Farms Produce and later Mr. Foamy Car Wash and also owned several commercial and residential properties in Belleville and Newark. Serving as General Contractor, he constructed two residential homes in Upper Montclair. At a young age, Frank contracted the disease Retinitis Pigmentosa eventually losing all vision. Undeterred, Frank continued to face all obstacles with a winning spirit. He was predeceased by his brothers, Louis and Nicholas Della Volpe and three sisters, Anne Meloi, Margaret (Dolly) D’Allessio, and Jenny Del Vecchio. He is survived by his loving and caring wife of 66 years Lorraine (nee Lescavage) devoted children, Wayne Della Volpe and his wife Linda and Lisa Dennin and her husband Tim, and cherished grandchildren Tyler and his wife Sara, Jessica Greenberg and her husband Jared, Travis and Eric Della Volpe, and Meghan Dennin. The visitation will be held on Monday, September 17, 2018 from 4pm to 8pm at the LaMonica Memorial Home, 145 East Mount Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, NJ. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, September 18th, at 10:30 am at St Anthony of Padua Church in Belleville, followed by the Committal Service in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Upper Montclair. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Babe’s name may be made to the St. Thomas the Apostle Youth Group, St. Thomas Church.
