Obituary for Frances “Susie” Gaines Frances “Susie” Gaines went to be with the Lord September 7, 2018 at the age of 56. She was born April 2, 1962 in Port Lavaca, Texas to Phillip A. and Mabel J. (Smock) Gaines. She is preceded in death by her father Phillip A. Gaines and niece Mackenzie Gaines. She is survived by her mother Mabel Gaines; brothers David (Peggy) Murff and Travis (Meredith) Gaines; nieces and nephew Jason (Shaye) Murff, Rachel Murff (Keith) Fuller and Madisyn Gaines; great nieces and nephews Regan Fuller, Amber Murff, Joel Fuller and Philip Murff. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 1:30 – 2:00 pm with a funeral service at 2:00 pm at Assembly of God Church in Seadrift. Interment to follow at Seadrift Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Murff, Rex Bennetson, Jeffrey Kisiah, Keith Fuller, Russell Frank and Joel Fuller. Memorial donations may be made in Susie’s honor to American Diabetes Association, 500 N.
