Life Story for Fauneil Kelley (Matson) Earth got a little less pink, but Heaven got a lot more colorful as Fauneil Ione Kelley, 86, was called back to her Heavenly seat on Sunday, August 26, 2018. Her nails were always a beautiful shade of pink and she loved to show them off. Born November 15, 1931 to Floyd and Blanche Matson in Omaha, Nebraska, Fauneil was the oldest of five siblings. She had two sisters and two brothers. Fauneil was married and widowed three times in her well-lived, well-loved life. She had three children of her own, but also raised the step-children from her second marriage. Her “gift from God,” though, came as her third husband, Joe Kelley. She always said he was the true love of her life. Many times, you could sum up her loves with two “Js”: Jesus and Joe. When she was a teenager, she was forced to drop out of school to help support her family. But in her 30s, she returned to education and received her GED, and even began taking classes at a community college in Phoenix, Arizona. However, Fauneil loved crafts. She loved creating beautiful works of art to share with the world, like ceramics, paintings and knit dishcloths. She is survived by her daughters, Marcia Fenn (Richard), Doreen “Dee” Marshall (Robert), and Geraldine “Geri” Hill (Brad); two stepchildren, Robert Fleck (Darlene) and Karen Barcus; her grandchildren, Shane Ball, Stacey Ball, Steven Ball, Jeff Marshall, Lacey Bommarito, Catherine Hill, Diana Campbell, Sherrie Miller, Rob Fleck, Corrine Barcus, and Cathleen Barcus, along with numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 10 a.m., at Elevation Church, 11 4th Avenue North, Billings, Montana. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to St. John’s Lutheran Ministries Foundation and Senior Independence of Montana (Hospice).
