OBITUARY Eva Bynum Simpson November 5, 1932 – September 21, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Eva Bynum Simpson, 85, of the Rhems community, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 21st, 2018. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and faithful member of Rhems United Methodist Church. Sadly, Eva was preceded in death by her dear husband, Clarence Simpson; her daughter, Brenda White; grandson, Todd Toler; and her longtime companion, “Half Pint,” a teacup chihuahua. She is lovingly survived by her two children, Connie Cherry (Keith) and Judy Toler (Joe), all of New Bern; eight grandchildren, Nicole Webb (Ben), Bryan Cherry (Shanna), David Cherry (Jennifer), Jodie Toler, Christopher Toler, Paul Toler (Victoria), April Sanchez (Tony), and Crystal White; and twenty-two great grandchildren, Kaelyn, Christian, Kayden, John David, Brylen, Hadley, Calder, Zach, Claudia, Kayla, Hannah, Ariana, Gracie, Moriah, Jeremiah, Genevieve, Chloe, Ezra, Tony, Ava, Sukura, and Alex. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 26th at Cotten Funeral Home, followed by a service at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rhems United Methodist Church or to the Rhems Volunteer Fire Department. Arrangements are by Cotten Funeral Home & Crematory.
