Obituary for Ethel Juleen “Judy” Ward Ethel Juleen (Judy) Fester Ward, born New Years Day 1933 to Julius Robert Fester and Lela Jean Hess in McPherson, KS passed peacefully after a battle with dementia at home among family on Saturday, September 22, 2018. Judy graduated from Fredonia High School in 1951, then moved to Wichita and worked for Boeing for one year. She returned home to her high school sweetheart Bill Ward and they married May 4, 1952, celebrating 66 years this year. Judy enjoyed so many things in her life, her wonderful family, being a homemaker, playing bridge for many years with her sisters and friends. Loved playing cards, marbles, board games, cooking meals for her family. In the Spring and Summer months she fed gallons of sugar water to her hummingbirds that returned year after year. Besides Bill of the home, she is survived by: Children: Debra Chapman and husband Greg of Goliad, TX Doug Ward and wife Nancy of Galva, KS Chuck Ward and wife Juli of Fredonia, KS Karen Smith and husband Tim of Larned, KS Twin Sister: Joey Cline of Fredonia, KS 9 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren Numerous nieces, nephew, cousins and two sister in laws; Doris Claiborne of Fredonia, KS and Thelma (Dwight) Hise of Auburn, KS Judy was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Diana Marie Montoya, brother Bob Fester and sister Nancy Wells. Cremation has been requested, a Celebration of Life service with Rev. Gene Benefiel will be held on Friday, September 28th, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia.
