Elizabeth “Betty Lou” Criswell, age 80, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Jefferson Hospital. She retired as a custodian in the Elizabeth Forward School District. Born June 27, 1938 in Elizabeth, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Evelyn (Brown) Shank and wife of the late Alan Earl Criswell I. She is survived by daughters, Apryle Criswell Jackson of Saint Cloud, FL, Ferne (Rev. William) Haddock of Pierre, SD, Jaye (Stan) Armstrong of Arona and Brooke (Angelo Acosta) Criswell of Otterbein, IN; son, Alan (Debbie Shipers) Criswell II of Elizabeth Twp.; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Keith Criswell. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 from 4-8 PM. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Michael Sneeringer officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to Rostraver Public Library, 700 Plaza Drive, Belle Vernon, PA 15012.
