OBITUARY Edwin Pope Davenport February 21, 1927 – August 28, 2018 Edwin Pope Davenport, a life long resident of Dallas, Texas died on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Park Manor in Desoto, TX. Ed was born on February 21, 1927 in Dallas, TX to Pope & Hixie Davenport. Ed was a World War II Veteran and was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for over 35 years. Ed ran the Postal Department for Gardere & Wynne Law Firm for 10 years. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years. Ed was preceded in death by his parents and sister Eloise Atterberry of Texas. Ed is survived by his wife, Lee Davenport of Dallas. Children: James Alexander of Dallas, Steve Hilliard and wife Kathy of California, Marchand Plavets of Euless, Tx. Michael Hilliard and wife, Penny of Grandbury, TX. Sister Velma Tawwater of Dallas. Grandchildren: Katherine Atchison and husband Scott, Kelly Karpenko, Austin Hilliard, Haley Dettra and husband Scott and Mason Hilliard. Great grandchildren: Ava Atchison, Maxx Welch and Kate Dettra. Nieces and nephews: Judy Glazer, Jinny Grisson and husband Scott, David Woicik and wife Marilyn, Williard Atterberry and wife Kathy, Harold Atterberry and Matt Glazer.
