OBITUARY Edward Bert Lindberg Passed away on September 22, 2018 Edward Bert Lindberg (Ling) Born to Edward and Joan Ling on May 11, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois, Ed grew up in Justice, Il raised by his mother and grandmother after his parents divorced in 1954. In 1962 his mother married Roy Lindberg who adopted him. They moved to Tampa, FL in 1963 where Ed finished school and graduated from Chamberlain High School in 1970. He joined the Coast Guard in 1971 and sailed the Caribbean seas until 1975. He married his highschool sweetheart, Cathy Perez in November of 1974. They welcomed a daughter, Lisa in November of 1983. Ed was the office manager of All Interior Supply from 1980-2002 when he retired. Ed will always be remembered for his quirky sense of humor, his love of music (especially Jimmy Buffett!), his interesting stories from his sailor days, and the love he had for his family. Ed is preceded in death by his father, Edward F. Ling; mother, Joan Strandberg; his wife, Cathy Perez Lindberg; and sister, Chris Kratky. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Perry; son-in-law, Scott Perry; grandsons, Jaden and Reagan; brothers, Bruce Ling (Beca) and Dan Shepherd; sisters, Susan Roentz (Rick) and Cathy Ling; nieces, Alexandra Greer (Dustin), Faith and Cora Greer, and Micah Ling; nephews, Ryan Roentz, Bjorn Greer and Taylor Ling; as well as extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in his honor to Good Shepherd Hospice, Lakeland Hospice House.
