Edna L Counts 2018

Edna L. Counts, 86 of Granite City, Illinois passed away on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Granite Nursing & Rehabilitation in Granite City. Edna was born on December 16, 1931 in Granite City; the daughter of the late Oscar and Anna Mae (Vowok) Warren. Edna was a homemaker and mom who enjoyed having her hair and nails done. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Edna will be remembered for her kind heart and all the special times they shared together. Edna is survived by and will be missed by her daughter; Debbie (Joe) Womble of Granite City, Illinois; granddaughter, Emily Sirko of Miami, Florida; sister, Lucille Schannot of Glen Carbon, Illinois; numerous nieces, nephews and many other extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her husband; Harry “Bill” Counts. In celebration of Edna’s life, there will be a graveside service at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon, Illinois on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Henry Crippen officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Granite City A.P.A., 5000 Old Alton Road, Granite City, Illinois, 62040. Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City is serving the family.
