Obituary for Mrs. Doris Janice Emerson Doris Janice Gore Emerson 92, of Jackson County passed away on Friday September 21 ,2018 in Slidell, LA and was born in Leakesville, MS on February 26,1926. Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt and friend, lovingly known as Granny Neese Janice was a lifelong resident of Jackson County, MS. She was a retiree of the International Paper Company in Moss Point and a member of the Helena Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Thompson (Butch) Emerson, children Shirley Rouse Bosarge, Edward Emerson and Kenneth Emerson, mother Leola Gore Moody,father Josepeh Gore, sister Lillian Gore West, and brother JT Gore. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Emerson Tucker and sister, Hattie Gore Burge. Grandchildren, Ritchie Bosarge, Amy Bosarge Herrington, Preston Bosarge, Kristie Tucker West, Keri Shields, Christopher Emerson, Nick Emerson, Chad Emerson, April Emerson, Timothy Emerson and 18 Great Grandchildren . Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be Tuesday September 25,2018 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Holder-Wells Coastal Funeral Home 12800 Hwy 613 Moss Point, MS. The funeral will begin at 2:00 pm from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sean Wilkerson officiating. Burial will follow in Serene Memorial Gardens cemetery in Moss Point, MS.
