Obituary for David Whittle Celebration of life for Mr. David Whittle of West Monroe, LA will be 2:00pm Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Griffin Funeral Home, 911 Warren Drive West Monroe, LA with Bro. David Carlisle officiating. Services are under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe. Visitation will be 1:00pm until time of service at the funeral home. Mr. Whittle was born December 6, 1940 in Birmingham, AL and passed from this life on August 31, 2018 at the age of 77. Mr. David loved volunteering his time at nursing homes providing meals and especially enjoyed sharing God’s word to the residence. He loved playing games and spending time with family and friends, Most of all, he loved reading God’s word. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Gladys Whittle; one brother, Jimbo Survivors include one brother, Phil Whittle and wife Marie of Birmingham, AL; three sons, Ray Whittle of Prattville, AL, Michael and wife Mindy of Verberna, AL, Matthew and wife Rachel Whittle of Lafayette, LA; one daughter Sarah Terral and husband Jonathon of West Monroe,LA nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
