Obituary for Darwin Watson Darwin Nathan Watson, 62 of Shinnston passed away on Tuesday September 18, 2018 at his home. He was born on July 5, 1956 in Clarksburg, a son of Russell “Nat” Watson and Delcia Watson Lucas. He is survived by his wife Penny D. Watson whom he married on June 14, 1980. Two sons Dustin N. Watson and companion Amanda Oliverio; Travis D. Watson and wife Rebekah Watson; sister, Debra McIntire; brother, Marvin Del Watson and wife Marty Watson; close friend Randy Cienawski. Five grandchildren; Rylan Kerns, Gavin Sickles, Ashlynn Watson, Brookelynn Watson and Daxtin Watson. Darwin was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Alan McIntire, father-n-law Patsy Paul Martin and faithful companion, his beloved dog Daisy. Darwin retired as Supervisor of Public Works for The City of Shinnston and retired with 37 years of service. He held the first president position at AFSCME local 77 and served on the State Executive Board, he served on the Shinnston Little League Board and managed a team. He enjoyed collecting comic books and baseball cards. Darwin was a great family man and a loving grandfather. Friends and family will be received at Harmer Funeral Home, 300 Pike Street, Shinnston on Friday September 21, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 7:30 PM and a funeral Service following Friday at 7:30 PM with Debra Herndon and Maxine Weser officiating.
