Claire R. (Dubois) Lavoie, 75, formerly of Wyndemere Woods, died peacefully September 19, 2018 in The Friendly Home, Woonsocket surrounded by her family. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Rene and Yvonne (Laperle) Dubois. Claire worked as a Lab Technician for Landmark Hospital, Woonsocket for thirty-six years. She enjoyed reading, knitting, computer games and was a lover of animals. She is survived by her devoted companion, Bob Villiard of Woonsocket; her brother, Robert Dubois and his wife Cora of North Smithfield; two nephews, Jason Dubois and his wife Kate of North Smithfield and Jeremy Dubois of Wakefield and two great nephews Cole and Adam Dubois of North Smithfield. Her funeral will be held Wednesday, September 26, 2018 beginning with visitation at 10 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 63 Church St., North Smithfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of the North Smithfield Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 653, Slatersville, RI 02876.
