Charus L Stalnaker 2018

CHARUS LYNN STALNAKER, 69, passed away in his home on September 24, 2018 with his family by his side. Left to cherish his memories is his loving wife of 50 years Dorothy, Children Stacy Lynn Long (Chris) and Richard Charus Stalnaker(Adrienne). He was Opa to three wonderful grandsons whom he was so proud of and adored, Michael Long, Austin Long, and Rayne Stalnaker. He is survived by his sister Linda Terrien. Charus was an excellent builder, could fix anything with a motor, and was known as a local go-to expert for fixing lawn equipment when no one else could. He was an outdoors man and avid hunter who enjoyed hunting and fishing at Lake Gaston. The family would like to thank Dr. Tan with Virginia Oncology Assoc. and his staff, Dr. Louis Carideo, at Heart Hospice and staff for their excellent care and compassion. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 30 between 3 and 5 P.M. at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., 1416 Cedar Rd., Chesapeake, Va. 23322. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations in Charus’ name be made to Virginia Beach SPCA(www.VBSPCA.COM) or Hunters for the Hungry(www.H4HUNGRY.ORG).
