Charles Edward Davy Age 87, of Troy, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018, after a 2 year fight with cancer. He met the end of his life in the same room of the family home where he was born on June 26, 1931. He is survived by his five children and their spouses Dale Davy of Troy, Wayne & Candace Davy of Tipp City, Paula & Robert Godfrey of Arcanum, Nelson & Debra Davy of Troy, Kathryn & Ric Hausfeld of Minster; 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and many friends at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Charles graduated from Elizabeth Township High School class of 1949. Following his graduation, he was employed at Tipp Citizens National Bank and later retired from Hobart Brothers after 25 years of service. He will be fondly remembered by all for his gentle and loving nature. He always cracked silly, lighthearted jokes, gave lawn mower rides to the kids and shared his M&Ms on road trips. He will be missed and remembered by all who knew him. Charles was preceded in death by his parents William Edward & Thelma Irene (Weaver) Davy; his first wife and mother of his children Ella Mae (Hill) Davy; his second wife Marguerite (Emerick) Davy, brother Paul F. Long; and two grandsons. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
