Wagener – Mr. Cecil “Pete” Johnson, 84, entered into rest Sunday, September 23, 2018. Mr. Pete is the husband of Dorothy Cooper Johnson. They have been married 61 years. He is the father and father-in-law of Stevie and Tracey Johnson. Mr. Pete is the grandfather of Dallas Johnson. He is the son of the late Haskell Johnson, Sr. and Leila Mixon Johnson. Mr. Pete is the brother of Nackie Barr and Haskell “Junior” (Frances) Johnson, Jr., and the late Shirley Johnson, L. H. “Ponk” Johnson, Birdie Mae Sharpe, Jerry Johnson, Frances Sherwood, Ronald “Bill” Johnson, and K. D. Johnson. He is the brother-in-law of Charlie (Sara) Cooper, Hazel (David) Poole, and Geneva (David) Lewis. Mr. Pete was a veteran of the U. S. Marines. He was a member of Perry First Assembly of God. Mr. Pete worked for National Linen for 26 years. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services. A Service Celebrating the Life of Mr. Pete will be held 11 am Wednesday at Perry First Assembly of God with the Rev. Roger Hunnicutt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military honors.
