Obituary for Bruce Albert Wells Saginaw, Michigan. Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the Aleda E. Lutz V.A. Medical Center. Age 84 years. The son of the late Clarence and Florence (Minnick) Wells, Bruce was born October 25, 1933 in Wessington Springs, South Dakota. He served in the United States Navy from 1953 to 1954. He married Marilyn Burke, his loving wife of 63 years, on August 22, 1955. She survives him. Bruce earned his Master’s Degree from Colorado State University. He was a long time educator, teaching in South Dakota and then at Saginaw High School and North Middle School with over 30 years of service to the community. Bruce was a long time member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, American Legion Post #439, was a past president of the former Maple Hills Golf Course and was a Mason. He enjoyed golfing, spending winters in Florida, but most of all spending time with his family. Surviving besides his wife Marilyn are two daughters, Sherrie (Randy) Yeager, Saginaw; Debbie (Jeff) Dornseifer, New Hudson, Michigan; five grandchildren, Alyssa (Patrick) Konesko, Lance Yeager, Kayla (Chris Ciliento) Dornseifer, Brett Yeager, Nicole Dornseifer; two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Beckett Konesko. Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 123 N. Michigan Ave. The Rev. Curt Norman will officiate. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Mausoleum with Military Honors rendered by American Legion Post #439. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
