Brenda Bower, 60, of Springfield, Missouri, formerly of La Porte, Indiana passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018, after a battle with cancer. Brenda was born April 23, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois to Fanuel and Calla (Napier) Clemons. On September 26, 1987 Brenda married Steven Paul Bower who preceded her on November 17, 1990. She was also preceded by her father. Brenda was the plant manager at Future Foam Inc. in Springfield, Missouri. She loved her dog Bella and enjoyed collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia. Brenda is survived by a son, Timothy Bower of La Porte, Indiana; a grandson, Ethan Bower; her mother, Calla Clemons of Lafayette; two brothers, Doug (Jane) Clemons of Knox, Indiana and Roger (Cathy) Clemons of Lafayette, Indiana; and a sister, Wilma Clemons of Houston, Texas. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana, followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m., with Pastor Ernie Melton officiating.
